I ran into a small problem configuring tap-salesforce using the UI. The UI asks for a start date in the format of MM/DD/YYYY and then stores this in meltano.yml as YYYY-MM-DD. However, Salesforce needs the start date to be a timestamp and the job errors out unless you manually change the start date to a valid timestamp format.

I’ll take a look at them and see what we can do to help. I’m excited to be using Meltano and would like to find a way to contribute.

@cuddly-king-83679 I'm excited to have you on board get your feedback! 🙂 We're not currently prioritizing the UI, so I won't get to that issue myself any time soon, but I'll gladly help your team figure it out. In general, you're gonna have a better experience with the CLI, though. Is that acceptable for your use case?

yep. My mindset in setting this up has been using the GUI to bootstrap my environment and then manually tweaking things in via CLI or directly editing yml files. Would you be open to a quick meeting the first week of the year to go over contributing to the project?
