) -- my binary data types are coming over as varchar, is there a metadata column setting I can set to maintain the binary data type to the target?

I don't know of any, I went with https://gitlab.com/autoidm/autoidm-target-mssql/-/blob/master/target_mssql/streams.py#L147 but this is not ideal
