Is there any motivation or hesitations about adopting the spreadsheets anywhere tap into MeltanoLabs? I see Eric is up for it to move on: https://github.com/ets/tap-spreadsheets-anywhere/pull/28#issuecomment-1358614162 My interest at this moment is the skip rows PR: https://github.com/ets/tap-spreadsheets-anywhere/pull/37 A similar feature was recently merged into tap sftp: https://github.com/MeltanoLabs/tap-sftp/pull/15 Would probably be nice to do something about releasing plugin.yml updates automatically to avoid these chores: https://github.com/meltano/hub/pull/1140

No hesitations at all. If Eric is keen to still help with PRs that’d be great, and it sounds like you and maybe some Matatika folks want to help out as well? I think we could get that ball rolling this week if every one is game. cc @pat_nadolny

I cant find the thread now but In https://github.com/ets/tap-spreadsheets-anywhere/issues/31#issuecomment-1372881694 Eric offered to let @Matt Menzenski become the maintainer on that repo and it looks like hes been doing a good job getting PRs reviewed. I believe we decided to leave it in the ets namespace for now, especially since Matt was able to help maintain it there and that its non-SDK, but if someone wanted to write something similar using the SDK then meltano labs could be a good place for it. We can definitely reevaluate that decision though, just wanted to share the historical context I remember

Good callout on the SDK piece - for some reason I thought it already was.

Ah, that SDK point makes sense. I actually put the link to the comment and that prompted this message.
There are a few things that are a bit of a pain about it, but its generally very useful. With this tap and the others, we (Matatika) would be testing daily and just keeping on top of making sure things work! That's half the battle in my view, but we'd also like to make config easier...

I messaged Eric after he granted me collaborator access (@pat_nadolny here) to ask about his thoughts on future direction of the project (specifically whether he was interested in moving it under MeltanoLabs) but haven’t heard a response yet and didn’t want to pester him.
I’d like to port it to the SDK, we use this tap daily and having the stream_maps support built in would be really nice.
