@alexander_butler here are the run_results and state backends (which mentions the Meltano-managed case) issues. I couldn't find where we talked about using the Meltano service as a backend, apart from adding a state management API (for parity with the CLI). Might be worth raising a new issue if that is something you would like to see (over headless and alternative storage support) 🙂
