Do the logs coming from
MELTANO_DATABASE_URI
write the logs that are generated in
/.meltano/logs
?
d
@michael_cooper I don't understand what you mean by "the logs coming from `MELTANO_DATABASE_URI`"

Essentially I'm wondering what changing the
MELTANO_DATABASE_URI
does as far as logging goes. We want to make sure we keep the logs, and we're debating between a stateless and a stateful deployment. If we go stateless, it seems like we'd lose the logs in
.meltano/logs
but are wondering if changing
MELTANO_DATABASE_URI
to an external database would keep those.
Unless
MELTANO_DATABASE_URI
has nothing to do with those logs.

☝️
Meltano doesn't currently store logs in the system database or anywhere other than
.meltano/logs
, but we could certainly consider changing that if it would have advantages for you!
Also don't forget to look at Airflow's logs, which should also contain all
meltano elt
output

Great, thank you!
