If a custom tap/target requires additional config files to run, where should they be stored in the project directory?
a
I've only done things in the main
meltano.yml
config file. What kind of config files are you referencing?
d
@michael_cooper The tap and target executables will be invoked from the same "current working directory" you invoked
meltano ...
from: your Meltano project directory. So if a tap or target expects a file to exist at a known relative location, or if a relative file path can be provided as a setting, those paths will be relative from the project directory as well.

Thank you!
Since multiple taps could all have files called `config.json`all located in the root directory, is there a way to specify what config file for each tap?
d
@michael_cooper If you're using Meltano, there should not longer be a reason to manually manage
config.json
files! Did you see https://meltano.com/docs/configuration.html? 🙂
m
Okay, I get it now. Thank you!

This is one of the joys of meltano @michael_cooper!
