Does anyone know why I would be getting an

error using the bing ads tap?

@nevin_morgan Is there anything more to the error message? Judging by https://github.com/singer-io/tap-bing-ads/blob/master/tap_bing_ads/__init__.py#L487, the actual invalid selections would also be printed in JSON format

yup. I just didn't know if it was something simple like I had set the wrong capabilities in my meltano.yml file.

The readme states:

fieldExclusions
- Indicates which other fields may not be selected when this field is selected. If you invoke the tap with selections that violate fieldExclusion rules, it is likely that the tap will fail.

So it seems like there's some Bing-specific rules about which fields can(not) be used together

The default selection pattern is

, which bing-ads clearly doesn't like.

That's my bad 😞 Details like that should be in the docs, as well, but the CLI docs are still pretty rough in general and I've kind of been putting off giving them a good rewrite in favor of just making sure the homepage content is great
