Hi everyone! César from Madrid here. I am new to Meltano but willing to learn how to make it rock! As I am giving the first steps, I'm wondering if testing using Digital Ocean droplet it the way to go or if it's deprecated? https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/meltano?action=deploy&refcode=1c4623f89322

@cesar_garcia Bienvenido! You've got it right: the DigitalOcean installation method is now effectively deprecated as of our pivot last month (https://meltano.com/blog/2020/05/13/revisiting-the-meltano-strategy-a-return-to-our-roots/, https://meltano.com/blog/2020/05/13/why-we-are-building-an-open-source-platform-for-elt-pipelines/). The most up to date information and a whole list of examples to get started can be found on the homepage: https://meltano.com/

Thanks Douwe for your response! A missing character is making it a bit hard to understand it: "he DigitalOcean installation method is no effectively deprecated as of our pivot last month". Do you mean the "method is now effectively deprecated" or "the method is not effectively deprecated"?
BTW, I read the two posts you sent and I'm quite excited about Meltano potential!

@cesar_garcia Heh, I missed the most important character 😄 I meant to say it is now deprecated, since the new direction focuses primarily on the CLI workflow, or the CLI+UI workflow, but not the UI-only workflow you'd get with the DO package. That may change in the future, but for now that means the DO installation method is deprecated 🙂

Thanks again! I'll get into the CLI examples then :)
