Hello, I just had a demo with @douwe_maan and we were looking at a graph. He was showing me the ropes and we set a filter on Transaction type. But now when I try and create a filter the drop down where transaction type was before it not doing anything. Did I miss a step?

Hi Rich! Can you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
r
@douwe_maan Here you go. It appears to only be when editing an existing graph. Somehow I ended up on an Untitled Graph and the dropdown was populated. I have not figured out yet how to create one from scratch yet.

@douwe_maan If I play around with the year, month, day settings and then come back I now can add the filter. Strange
I found how to create a report from scratch. 🙂
Nope I was wrong that was how to create a dashboard. 🙂
Ah ha, save as.

Hmm, I’m also seeing the “Filters attribute dropdown is empty when editing existing report” on your instance, but I can’t reproduce it on a different one. Let me create an issue!
r
@douwe_maan When I use the Save As, It does not appear to create a new graph on the dashboard. Are you seeing the same thing?
d
Are you using the “Add to Dashboard” dropdown after saving?
r
@douwe_maan Apparently the report exists but I can't seem to find it. When I try and save the report again it tells me it already exists. If I click the add to dashboard button it gives me a drop down that is create and when I click on Stripe it just unchecks that dashbaord. Maybe we can schedule another meeting to go over some of the other things I am running across. Up to you of course.
d
Maybe you can find the report through Connections > Stripe > Explore, there will be a Reports column that should list it
If clicking “Stripe” unchecks the dashboard, I think that means it’s already on that dashboard. Is that possible?
r
Maybe, but they are not there. I only see the 6 that I started with. The two news are not shown.

I see 8 reports on https://metageek.meltanodata.com/analyze/tap-stripe; you may need to refresh the page to see them
