I just want to report that an absurd sequence of annoying actions is required to sign into this slack chat after a few weeks of not using it only because I would like to search for something. It would be so much easier if this was just an open forum on the internet that could be searched quickly and easily without being forced to sign into big corp and without the need to provide email to a company that already proved to be not trustworthy in the past re userdata. Seems absurd to me that a team producing one corner stone of open source infrastructure uses this service for communication and hides the knowledge that is collected here behind a slack login wall, handing over not only your but also your users data and privacy to a company and not doing it yourself. I can not believe that installing a simple chat or forum is a too big challenge for your team. Please act according to the principles of free software, it will make the world a better place, thank you!
