Hi All - I lead a data team and I am super interested to follow what you all are up to here. We are happy airflow users and unhappy Tableau / Periscope customers. We will shortly launch a data product embedded in our app, but it has been something of a struggle to find a production engineering friendly viz tool thats not wildly expensive.

Hi @zeek! Roadmap: You can read more about Meltano’s roadmap and more specifically about a) strategy for v1.0 and beyond v1.0 (see https://meltano.com/docs/roadmap.html#strategy) as well as b) current focus (see https://meltano.com/docs/roadmap.html#focus). Planning: The team is also planning feature development and bug resolution in weekly milestones, see https://gitlab.com/groups/meltano/-/milestones. Issues: Feel free to jump in the issue tracker with any comments or thoughts and feel free to add any bug reports or feature proposals, see https://gitlab.com/groups/meltano/-/issues. There’s also an exploratory sprint for utilizing redash for more visualizations in the future, see https://gitlab.com/meltano/meltano/issues/558.

@zeek Could you elaborate on the your comment in terms of what specifically makes you dissatisfied?
unhappy Tableau / Periscope customers.
z
Specifically that Tableau doesnt play well with prod systems and is not particularly usable / discoverable for lay application users. Periscope plays better with software eng but is not very customizable and still has some usability / discoverability issues.

@zeek Have you had a chance to look into any of the above shared links? On a semi-related note, if you're up for a 20-30min video call, I'd love to chat to learn a bit more about what problems you're trying to solve and what an "ideal" tool would be in your eyes. If you're up for the call set something up that works for you here https://calendly.com/derek-knox/30-min-session

Hey Team - we are in full GTM mode for the next couple weeks so havent had a chance. Would be glad to set up a call in early November if that works.

Totally, just use the above invite link with a time that works for you
