looks like if I use docker-compose and then jump into the container and install the tap with pip it works
d
@michael_timbs So it sounds like you got up and running? Is there anything else we can help with?
m
Seem to be getting through it for now thanks
d
Great. Just let us know if you need any help or have improvement ideas.

Hi @michael_timbs, I'm also presenting the error related with the mysql tap. Could you please share the docker compose with us?
m
Yeah so in your directory with meltano run
docker-compose up --build
in a new terminal window run
docker container ls
grab the container id for the meltano container and
docker exec it <continaer id> /bin/bash
☝️ That will give you bash access to the container and you should be able to install them there
because the docker-compose binds the files to your system anything you install will persist between future builds

Thanks @michael_timbs! I'll let you know how it goes 😄
