Looking at the changelog for 2.0 at https://github.com/meltano/meltano/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#200---2022-06-08 it doesn’t list any obvious breaking changes? Should I expect the upgrade to be straightforward? Or is there any explicit migration steps I need to perform?

https://docs.meltano.com/reference/v2-migration is your best bet. There definitely are some breaking changes, but a big chunk of them are from features the vast majority of users weren’t touching.

gotcha, and I know there hasn’t been an announcement here about 2.0.0 being released, but I subscribe to the rss feed for meltano releases on pypi and saw that it had been released there which is why I checked the changelog to see how much effort going to 2.0 would be. I agree that it seems like the breaking changes won’t actually break anything for us, so that’s good!
