fwiw @vinay_miriyala there's steps to get docker running here https://github.com/MeltanoLabs/target-postgres/blob/main/podman.sh with a nice lite postgres instance. If docker compose is more your jam https://github.com/MeltanoLabs/target-postgres/pull/131/files#diff-e45e45baeda1c1e73482975a664062aa56f20c03dd9d64a827aba57775bed0d3 has it (this will be getting pushed into main here soon) and both are just nice easy ways to spin up your own local postgres host for testing!
