I had one question - what configuration variable I should tweak for the number of streams which should run in parallel for a given tap. For example I have specified 5 tables under mysql tap but i want to limit the parallelism to only 2 tables which variable I should change

If such a setting existed it would vary by tap, I believe. At least for the default MySQL tap I don't think there's any support for parallelism at all though.
