Does anyone have some insights on how to test taps / integrations?

the cookie cutter has tests baked in, you can expand them as well. There's lots of small examples all over but it depends on what we're after. A guide on this would be nice, maybe you could write up the points you'd like covered in a guide and post an issue to Meltano?
