@aaron_phethean pushed the local postgres utility out, something @pat_nadolny and myself also have been playing around with, so thank you! This is going to make things way easier. https://hub.meltano.com/utilities/postgres
v
The repo link is wrong on the hub right? It points to postges's code and not the utility
Sounds interesting at least ! 😄
Will replace my bash files I keep putting at the root of my taps/targets
s
mh maybe, unless there are no files etc to load and its just the definition (that might be the case for dockerized extensions). Whatever it is, I keep on getting confused by these I was also looking for the github repository.
v
I get it, the "code" is all in the hub as yaml config. https://github.com/meltano/hub/blob/main/_data/meltano/utilities/postgres/postgres.yml is what I was looking for, I see the dilemma
s
But it is confusing, I stumble over this whenever I want to link out to the original extension or take a look at "additional configuration settings".
a
Right. There's no actual ‘code’ for this one. I'd love a hubcap approach where the plugin yaml lived in a github repository and used the git hub releases for version bumps. Then the code would be pointing at that repo, albeit with one file in this case
v
I do love the simplicity!
