Hi all, we've been having troubles with getting environment variables to work with the mapper. I'll share more in the thread but does sound similar to this recent conversation too.

We've essentially been following the instructions in the documentation as I linked and are trying to inject a hash seed key securely via an environment variable:

MELTANO_MAP_TRANSFORMER_MAP_CONFIG_HASH_SEED='xyz'
HASH_PII_MAP_CONFIG_HASH_SEED='xyz'

Do leave a comment or give a thumbsup on that issue. It's helpful for prioritization.

follow up question (and there might be a different channel for this), is there release dates or guidelines to give me an idea of when the next release will come?

We don't have a set schedule for release for Meltano or the SDK. It's on an as-need basis at the moment. Though you could probably bug @Edgar Ramírez (Arch.dev) to cut a release if there's a merged PR that you want tagged 😄 https://docs.meltano.com/changelog/ has our release history for the past few quarters

that would be very helpful, if possible. @Edgar Ramírez (Arch.dev) kindly helped me make a change to add SHA256 last month which we'd appreciate being able to use. Eliminates the need for us to have a mapper and hit this known issue.
