Of these, the users might be interested in disabling a few for performance or debugging reasons. For example, disabling

env

and

dotenv

to test Meltano in isolation from the shell environment, or disabling

db

to prevents attempts to connect to a database that might not be available. --- One suggestion would be to accept a new

--isolation

flag that accepts multiple values to disable certain setting stores, e.g.

--isolation=db
