Hey team, finishing up my first pass on an elasticsearch target. I have two questions for y’all: 1. I have always found the interactive configurator helpful when setting up taps/targets in the past. I was under the assumption that setting the properties in the json-schema would automatically build that for me, I am noticing some issues where it only displays set configs rather than unset keys with defaults. The issue is the target being tracked here. If you can point me to an example or documentation on how to get this playing nicer with the Meltano interactive config builder let me know. 2. The second is what is the process to get onto the hub? Others might find this target useful. As I was using some hacky script to load my time series data to es after dumping to jsonl. It can be currently installed by a direct modification to the meltano.yaml but
meltano add loader target-elasticsearch
is not working. Suggestions appreciated! ty!

Hi @dt_mirizzi the elastic search target sounds great. I haven't seen a step-by-step hub contribution guide documented anywhere. To get you started: 1. Fork the hub https://github.com/meltano/hub 2. git clone https://github.com/meltano/hub 3. (You should clone your fork) 4. start the hub locally as per the contribution guide https://github.com/meltano/hub/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md 5. set you project ‘hub_url’ https://docs.meltano.com/reference/settings#hub_url 6. ‘meltano discover’ will now fetch from your local server 7. add yourself to maintainers, and your plugin to the meltano directory here: https://github.com/meltano/hub/tree/main/_data
BTW - I think your first question will be answered when you see the plugin.yml format of one of the other plugins. It's this file that controls the settings / required config in meltano

https://docs.meltano.com/reference/plugin-definition-syntax also defines the structure for the yaml file on the Hub as well. Feel free to ping me or Pat on your PR and we’ll help you get it across the finish line!

@dt_mirizzi I'm also working on some automation to make some of this easier. Since you used the SDK I was able to quickly scrape the metadata and get a PR up https://github.com/meltano/hub/pull/1104. Feel free to suggest any changes!
