I see https://gitlab.com/meltano/meltano/-/issues/3176 adds support for dbt 1.0. I'd still like to run side-by-side installs of meltano and dbt. It looks like the only dependency conflict has to do with click 7 vs click 8. Anything that would prevent a PR with this update from being accepted?

I'm not aware of any breaking changes between those versions of click. You can definitely start an MR and we can flag any CI failures for further action if they come up.

I've been liking poetry and cannot use it due to this dep conflict. We've been successful using

venv

and pip. It complains, but so far we haven't run into issues. I'm just hesitant to push that approach with my team because there could be a landmine
