Sorry for bumping, was just scrolling through and saw this! we just started testing this — hope is to use dbt tags and then create curated ERDs by subject area. The challenges we’ve hit thus far: • if your selection criteria aren’t model name based (like dbt tags are not part of the model name), you can’t filter down your result set. Currently getting around that by piping the results of dbt ls to dbterd • we really want to automate (because ERDs are often stale and that limits their usefulness) + integrate (so people can see it and find it useful!) the output into our data catalog (Alation). Alation accepts html or iFrames, but right now we haven’t found a good way to visualize more than a few models using the mermaid output. And dbdocs isn’t a good fit since we would have to direct people to it But overall I think those are surmountable and we can achieve what we’re aiming at in the near future
