I was tinkering with a tool to pull data from the GitLab API and dump it into some CSV files, and decided to use Meltano. It’s like a magic shortcut, at least for the types of data that tap-gitlab handles. I even packaged Meltano along with the tool in a single pipx package on PyPI so the end user doesn’t need to understand Meltano itself. Here’s the README and a demo video.
